The Taurasi Alta Valle is the result of a careful selection of Aglianico grapes grown around the cantina in the town of Castelfranci, at 690 meters above the sea level with south-west exposure and a yield of about 50 quintals per hectare. The Alta Valle has a minimum ageing of 36 months in big wood barrel and at least one year in bottle before commercialization.

This wine is named after the “Alta Valle del Calore” at the feet of the “Picentini” mountains. It has a huge structure together with a suitable freshness that makes it particularly suitable for ageing and able to express an important potential in odour and taste with myrtle and liquorice marks.
